Privacy Statement

The Altera Infrastructure Group, comprising Altera Infrastructure LP, its General Partner, Altera Infrastructure GP L.L.C, its subsidiaries, and controlled affiliates collectively ("Altera", the "Group", referred to as "we", us") is responsible for management of personal information within the Altera Image Library and we will process them in accordance with applicable laws. This Privacy Statement covers Altera's use and management of personal data for users of our Image Library; we manage consent of the individuals whose images are stored in the Image Library through a separate process.

We acknowledge that the registration of personal data assumes a high level of trust on your part and we take this trust seriously, and give the highest priority to storing and treating your personal data securely and confidential - and for the sole purposes stated in this declaration.

Screentek is our supplier and Data Processor for the development and maintenance of the Altera Image Library. Information gathered in association with the operation of the Altera Image Library is stored on dedicated servers operated by the supplier. It is only Altera Infrastructure and Screentek which have access to the data collected. A separate data-processing agreement between Altera and Screentek regulates what information the supplier has access to and how it should be processed.


What information do we collect from you
In connection with your access to the image library's content you register your name, email and password, and possibly your employer's or contractor’s name, and the usage of the selected images. We also store information about the files you downloaded from the image library and the time of your download activity.


How do we use the information
The information is used to send you the files you have selected, give you repeated access to the Altera Image Library, and to monitor that the files are used for the purposes stated in our terms of use. We also use aggregated download data for statistical and reporting purposes, so we can continue to develop the image libary in the best possible way.

We may send you information about news in the image library or surveys of user experience which you may have experienced when using it.

If you do not return to the Altera Image Libary, your information will automatically be deleted after you have been inactive for 24 months


With whom do we share your information
The information is not shared with other third parties than our Data Processor.


How can you access your information
We only collect the name and email address of the standard users. If you are a consent person and with a registered user account, you can access your information by logging in with your username and password, go to "My consent" that can be found when you click your user name at the upper right corner of the Altera Image Library. You can also request your information, update or delete by sending an email to comms@alterainfra.com.


Change of guidelines in our Privacy Statement
We reserve the right to update our privacy statement at anytime. The current version of our Privacy Statement will always be available from the Altera Image Library. If the changes are significant to your personal information, we will contact you.
